At
present, the volume of information on the Internet has become so
massive, patchy, and fragmented that web-based medical information
has become unreliable. It is often now difficult to distinguish
advertising, marketing, and misinformation from the good stuff. The
purpose of the VV is to promote medical education and
interdisciplinary communication. I hope that readers find the
information concise and useful. The VV is free by email. Don't
forget, the case of the month on the back page of each VV issue. J.
