Jamie A. Koufman, M.D.,
F.A.C.S.
Jamie A. Koufman, M.D., F.A.C.S. is a
nationally and internationally renowned laryngologist and surgeon.
She is the Founder and Director of the Voice Institute of New
York; and previously, she was Professor of Surgery at Wake Forest
University and the Director of its Center for Voice and Swallowing
Disorders.
Dr. Koufman pioneered laryngeal framework surgery in the
United Sates and was a founding member of the International
Association of Phonosurgeons. She has received the Honor Award and
the Distinguished Service Awards of the American Academy of
Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery, as well as the Casselberry
Award and a Presidential Citation from the American Laryngological
Association. She is currently the President-Elect of the American
Broncho-Esophagological Association. For 25 years, Dr. Koufman has
lectured and published in the fields of laryngology, gastric
reflux research, new technology, and surgical innovation.
